Mir Roshaan Mirnia (Born October 20th, 2005) also known as Mirnia is a Canadian/Dutch musician, actor and theatre technician. Mirnia is best known for his work as the co-founder and lead singer/multi-instrumentalist of the hard rock group The Bruders.
Born in The Netherlands as a Canadian, Mirnia fell in love with music fast as a child. His favorite band as a kid was "Big Time Rush". When Mirnia turned 12 he started watching the tv show Glee which introduced him to a lot of classic rock, a year after that he discovered his dad's record collection and began listening to those records, he discovered a vast majority of his music taste from that record collection. Among those records were Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of The moon", "The Final Cut", "Delicate Sound of Thunder" and "Meddle", after hearing those records and searching up the rest of Pink Floyd's catalogue Mirnia knew he had found his favorite band. "..My favorite artists? Roger Waters and Pink Floyd for sure.."
In 2024 Mirnia co-founded The Bruders with Jesse van Olderen as the lead singer/songwriter & instrumentalist. In February of 2025 van Olderen left The Bruders leaving Mirnia as the only member. van Olderen rejoined June of 2025.
In 2020 Mirnia co-wrote The Mission(2020) with van Olderen, for unknown reasons the movie was never released. In 2023 he co-wrote The Mission(2023) with van Olderen. In 2024 Mirnia and van Olderen also worked together on a song called "Country Song". In 2025 Mirnia played Lead Guitar & Bass on "Happiest Days Of My Life" the title song from the show "HassanStore".
Mirnia is also busy in the theatre world. Starting in high school he took drama classes, in his senior year he was in the musical "Mamma Mia!". He played "Sky" and sang the Abba classic "Lay All Your Love On Me".
Mirnia has been at the University Of Ottawa since september of 2024 taking a Bachelor in Arts in Theatre. He has been focused on doing technical work, in 2025 he worked on two shows "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nigh-Time" (Directed by Kate Smith) as Lighting Head and "John & Beatrice" (Directed by Cameron Sedgwick) as Lighting Designer/Lighting Head. In 2026 he was the sound designer for "If We Were Birds" (Directed by Cameron Sedgwick).
On the 26th of August, 2025 Mirnia formed his Solo project "Mirnia". The debut album is to be called "Cigarettes On A Night In Montreal". A concept album about a man in Montreal walking at night dealing with loneliness, heartbreak & acceptance.
